First Day Hike

Take your first steps into the New Year with Southbury Land Trust and Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition at Platt Farm at 10 a.m. We'll hike  a portion of the Dr. Marc J. Taylor Greenway on the Pomperaug River with PRWC's Carol Haskins, and learn  how water monitoring and land conservation go hand-in-hand to make our drinking water safe and keep our watershed healthy. We'll also discover what critters live in the water and on the banks of the river.  After the two mile hike, those interested participants can extend their hike as we walk the ridgeline on the east side of the property.
