The Southbury Land Trust and The Rathskeller Restaurant have partnered to offer a “pop up event” during this year’s Give Local Campaign. The Give Local Campaign is sponsored by the Connecticut Community Foundation and gives local participating non-profits a way to make their donors dollars go farther, by enhancing any contributions received. This year’s 36 hour campaign begins on 7 a.m. on May 5th and ends at 7 p.m. on May 6th. Donations can be made by going to the Give Local website at www.givelocalccf.org
The “pop up” event will be held at the Rathskeller on Tuesday, May 5th between the hours of 4 PM and 7 PM. Anyone who donates $10 or more to the Southbury Land Trust during the Give Local campaign can bring their receipt to The Rathskeller Restaurant and Bar located at 88 Main Street South, and can receive appetizers for ½ price. The Rathskeller is known for American classic dishes served in a cozy space. In addition, if you would like to make your donation “on-the-spot” Land Trust staff will be there to assist. Land Trust Board Members will also be on hand to thank you for your support and if interested talk about land related topics.
